Institute of Bohemian Studies

The institute was established on 1 January 2006 as a detached part of the former Department of Bohemian Studies at the Faculty of Education and its members carry out the research work of that department.
The following degree programmes have been accredited: the Bachelor´s Programme of Czech Studies, two-field Czech Studies, the Master´s Programme of Bohemian Studies, the Ph.D. Programme of Czech Language, and the Ph.D. Programme of The History of Contemporary Czech Literature. The Institute of Bohemian Studies is entitled to organize the rigorous exams in Czech Language and Literature and it also takes part in the training of teachers of Czech language and literature at basic and secondary schools in collaboration with the Faculty of Education.
